In plain words

The short version

  • Eva's Log is free to start. Cycle tracking has no time limit, baby logging is free for 60 days, and pregnancy diary entries are free for three months.
  • After that, adding new entries of that kind needs Premium, a subscription that renews until you cancel it in your iPhone's Settings. The bleeding log, the contraction timer, the movement counter, and your own recovery, journal and check-ins never need it. What you logged stays free to read and delete.
  • What you record lives on your iPhone. If you share with caregivers, your children's timelines are also copied to your own iCloud, and the timeline of the child you invite someone for is copied to that person's phone. We never receive it.
  • Eva's Log is not medical advice. In an emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number.

Eva's Log

Terms of use

Effective date: October 16, 2026

Eva's Log is an app for iPhone, and evaslog.com is its website. Both are made by Atlas Peak Media, LLC ("Atlas Peak Media," "we," "our" or "us"). These terms govern your use of the app and the website. By installing or using Eva's Log, or by using the website, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use them.

Our privacy page explains what happens to what you record. Please read it alongside these terms.

Eva's Log is distributed through Apple's App Store. Unless the App Store listing names a different agreement, your license to use the app is the one in Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement, and these terms add the rules that are specific to Eva's Log.

These terms are between you and Atlas Peak Media, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for Eva's Log or its content, except as Apple's own terms provide.

Eva's Log is for parents, guardians and caregivers keeping records for themselves and for the children in their care. Use it to track your own children, or children for whom you are a parent, guardian or authorized caregiver.

You are responsible for the records you enter and for the people you invite to see them.

Eva's Log is free to start. Cycle tracking has no time limit. New baby entries are free for 60 days, counted from your first baby entry. New pregnancy entries are free for three months, counted from the day you start your first pregnancy record. If a pregnancy ends, the count pauses and picks up where it left off with your next pregnancy record rather than starting over. Inviting a caregiver to share your child does not give their phone a new free period, because its free baby logging ends no later than your household's.

When one of those periods ends, adding new entries of that kind needs Premium. Everything you already logged stays yours to read, chart and delete without Premium. The bleeding log, the contraction timer and the movement counter never need Premium, and neither do night mode or the crisis resources.

Children you add during setup, twins and triplets included, are free, and so are babies you add when you record a birth at The baby is here. A pregnancy record is free unless an earlier one ended in a birth. A loss never counts. Premium is needed to use Add a child when you already have a child, and to start a pregnancy record after one that ended in a birth.

The free period is part of the free plan, and it never turns into a paid subscription on its own.

Premium is an auto-renewing subscription sold through the App Store, with a monthly plan and an annual plan. The current prices are on our Pricing page, and the app shows the price and how often it renews before you pay.

Premium covers new entries after the free periods, adding a child with Add a child when you already have one, a pregnancy record after one that ended in a birth, and the exports: the pediatrician report, appointment prep, the first-year keepsake, the letters document and the CSV export. The pregnancy record and the worry page stay free to export, and so does the first-year keepsake while grief mode is on.

Billing

Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase. A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the period ends. Apple handles all billing, and we never receive your payment card details.

Managing and canceling

You can manage or cancel your subscription in the Settings app on your iPhone: tap your name, then Subscriptions. When you cancel, Premium continues until the end of the period you have paid for and then does not renew.

Refunds

Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's policies, and we cannot issue them ourselves.

Family Sharing

Both plans support Apple Family Sharing, so one subscription covers everyone in your Family group.

Your household

A parent's subscription also covers everyone who shares your child in Eva's Log. A co-parent, a grandparent or a sitter you invite gets Premium on their own phone without buying anything. Each renewal reaches their phones the next time the paying parent opens Eva's Log, and until then their Premium carries on for up to three days past the renewal date.

Restoring a purchase

If you reinstall the app or move to a new iPhone, Restore Purchases in the app's Settings, under Subscription, brings back a subscription on the same Apple ID.

If you stop paying

Nothing you already logged or exported is removed. What pauses is adding new entries after the free periods, adding a child with Add a child when you already have one, starting a pregnancy record after one that ended in a birth, and making new exports. Adding a baby when you record a birth at The baby is here stays free.

Outfits

Some outfits, costumes and accessories for your child's picture are free, and the First birthday outfit arrives on your child's first birthday. The rest are one-time purchases sold through the App Store. Each is bought once for your Apple ID and every child in the app can wear it. Family Sharing covers outfits too. Holiday items are offered only in their season, and you keep any you bought. Outfits change only the picture and never unlock Premium. To bring them back on a new iPhone, open a locked outfit and tap Restore purchases. Refunds are handled by Apple.

Inviting caregivers is free. You choose whom to invite and the role for each invite. A co-parent can log, edit and see your baby's timeline. A grandparent can follow the day. A babysitter can log feeds, sleep and diapers for the time you choose (Today only, Until I end it or Custom), and the app does not show them history beyond the last two days, medical notes or growth records.

When you create or accept an invite, the timeline of every child you added on your iPhone is copied to your own iCloud, and the timeline of the child you invite someone for is also copied to that person's iPhone, through Apple's iCloud. Your own recovery, journal and check-ins, and your cycle and pregnancy records, are never shared. Your child's profile travels with the timeline, including details you add there, such as the gestational age at birth, a rainbow-baby note or a date to honor.

Anyone who holds an invite link or QR code can use it to join. The link does not carry a role. Someone who joins gets the role of the one grandparent or sitter invite still waiting, the sitter view if more than one is waiting, and co-parent access otherwise. Each child has one invite link, and the QR code is the same link. It keeps working after the person you meant has joined, and removing someone or canceling a waiting invite does not close it. Only Stop Sharing, under Manage in iCloud on the Sharing screen, closes it, and that ends sharing that child with everyone. A babysitter's access ends at the time you set (Today only by default, or a Custom time), or when you end it if you choose Until I end it. Everyone else keeps access until you remove them. Send the link only to the person you mean, and check the Sharing screen once they join. You are responsible for whom you invite and for removing anyone who should no longer have access. Removing someone clears your household from their copy of Eva's Log the next time it receives the change, but it does not take back anything they exported, saved outside the app or passed on.

Sharing needs every phone involved to be signed in to iCloud and connected to the internet. We cannot promise that every change reaches every phone at a particular time.

What you record in Eva's Log belongs to you. We do not run servers that receive it, and we have no copy of it. Your entries live on your iPhone. They reach iCloud only through caregiver sharing, described in section 6, or in an iCloud Backup of your iPhone if you keep one. If your iPhone is signed in to iCloud, the app also keeps a few dates in your own iCloud key-value storage, even if you never share, so that reinstalling doesn't reset your free time. They are the day you first opened the app (or, once you've opened the subscription screen, the day the App Store says your account first downloaded it, if that was earlier), the day you first logged for a baby, the day your first pregnancy record began and, after a pregnancy ends, the day it ended, which becomes how long the diary was paused once another begins. They hold none of your entries and never reach us. Our privacy page has the details.

Because we cannot see your records, we cannot recover them for you. An iPhone backup includes Eva's Log, and keeping one is the way to protect your records against a lost or broken phone.

You can delete entries, and erase Eva's Log's data on your phone, at any time and without Premium. Erasing keeps one date, the day you first logged for a baby, on your iPhone and in your own iCloud, so that it doesn't reset your free time. If you ever created or accepted an invite, copies of your children's timelines that were never in a share also stay in your own iCloud. Eva's Log reads them again only if you create or accept an invite while signed in with the same Apple ID. Anything you export, share or save outside the app is then in your hands.

Eva's Log is a tracking and journaling tool. It is not medical advice and it is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition in you or your child, and it does not replace care from your doctor, midwife, pediatrician, lactation consultant or mental health provider. Please never ignore professional advice, or wait to seek it, because of something you read or logged in the app.

The period, fertile window and ovulation estimates come from your own history, offered to help while you are trying to conceive, and are never a guarantee. Not a contraceptive.

Growth percentiles use published child growth standards and the LMS method, and the milestone checklist is adapted from the CDC's earlier list of developmental milestones. A percentile is a position in a population, not a grade or a diagnosis, and babies develop at their own pace.

Mood check-ins and screening questionnaires give a screening signal, not a diagnosis. Pattern cards, such as the thyroid symptom pattern and the diet and symptom pattern, and estimates, such as the next-feed guess, are worked out from what you enter and can be no better than that information.

Corrected age depends on the gestational age you enter, so check any corrected-age figure against your pediatrician's records. Measurements read from Apple Health are only as accurate as the device that recorded them, and the app summarizes them, for example as an average across a night.

Using Eva's Log does not create a doctor-patient relationship, or any other provider relationship, between you and Atlas Peak Media.

In an emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number. In the US, the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline answers calls and texts at 988, around the clock.

Please use Eva's Log lawfully and for what it is for. Do not present its patterns or estimates as a medical diagnosis or a clinical assessment. Do not try to get around its purchases, copy, modify or reverse engineer the app except where the law allows it, or interfere with the app or with anyone else's use of it. Do not use caregiver sharing to see or keep records you have no right to.

Some parts of Eva's Log rely on services we do not run. The App Store, iCloud, Apple Health and Siri are Apple's, and Apple's terms govern them. When you scan a barcode, the barcode number is looked up in Open Food Facts. Product and nutrition details from that database may be incomplete or out of date, so please check the label.

We are not responsible for whether those services are available or for what they return.

You use Eva's Log at your own risk. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Atlas Peak Media, LLC and its officers, employees, contractors and agents are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, arising out of or related to Eva's Log, the website or these terms.

Our total liability for any claim arising under these terms is limited to the amount you paid for Eva's Log Premium and outfits in the twelve months before the claim. Some places do not allow these exclusions or limits, and where they are not allowed, they do not apply to you.

We update Eva's Log and this website from time to time, and features can change between versions. We may also revise these terms. Changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date, and using Eva's Log or the website after a change takes effect means you accept the revised terms.
